Velocomm Privacy

Velocomm Privacy Policy
Last updated: Nov 3, 2026

1. Who operates Velocomm
Velocomm is operated by CHAN KIN HO, using the VeloLayers brand. For privacy questions, contact velocomm@velolayers.com.

2. Account and service information
Velocomm uses Sign in with Google on Android. Our service receives a Google account identifier and a signed identity token, which may contain email information, to authenticate you and create a Velocomm account. We do not receive your Google password. We maintain account identifiers, access entitlements, hour-pack purchase records, usage balances, room-session records and service diagnostics.

3. Voice, names and profile images
Your microphone audio is transmitted to participants in the voice room through our real-time communications provider, LiveKit. The app has no conversation-recording or transcription feature. Your chosen display name and optional profile image are shared with room participants. Profile photos are resized before sharing. Network transport is encrypted; the current app does not provide end-to-end encryption.

4. Device and technical information
The service processes installation/device identifiers, authentication and security metadata, connection/session events and usage records. Google’s QR-scanning SDK also processes device/app information, identifiers, performance metrics and usage/error events for diagnostics and usage analytics. QR image processing is performed on the device. The app does not request access to your contacts or location, and does not provide health or fitness tracking. Hosting and network providers may process IP addresses and operational logs.

5. Why we use information
We use information to sign you in, connect voice rooms, deliver purchases, maintain balances, enforce access and device rules, prevent abuse, support users, and diagnose and improve service performance. The app contains no advertising feature.

6. Service providers and other participants
We use Google for Android identity, Google Play purchases and QR scanning, Cloudflare for hosting and service storage, and LiveKit for real-time communications. Each provider’s handling must be assessed under its applicable service terms. Room participants receive the voice, display name and optional profile content you choose to share. Optional Garmin companion functionality exchanges room status and microphone controls with a paired device.

7. Retention
We retain account, purchase, usage, security and diagnostic information for the purposes described above and to meet applicable obligations. The reviewed scheduled cleanup removes certain expired authentication records once their expiry is more than 30 days old; that is not a general deletion schedule for all service data.

8. Deletion and privacy choices
You can request deletion of your Velocomm account and associated data through or by contacting velocomm@velolayers.com. We will verify account ownership and explain what is deleted, any data retained for legitimate reasons, and the expected completion time. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not delete your server account.

9. Young users
Velocomm is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information, contact velocomm@velolayers.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when our service or data practices change. The revised policy will show an updated date. Contact: velocomm@velolayers.com.
