This spring-loaded pulley cage is designed for the WheelTop EDS TX electronic rear derailleur. It manages the extra chain length created during the folding sequence of a trifold bicycle, while retaining the original cage geometry during normal riding.
How it works
In the riding position, the spring mechanism remains compressed and the two pulley wheels follow the original WheelTop EDS TX cage layout. When the bicycle is folded, the mechanism deploys and increases the distance between the pulley wheels. This provides additional chain take-up to help reduce loose chain during the fold.
